I'm a web designer based in the Northwest of England, and I specialise in one thing: building proper websites for small businesses that don't have time to mess about with tech.
My story
I got fed up watching good businesses struggle online
I've been building websites for over ten years. For most of that time, I worked with agencies — big clients, big budgets, big teams. Good work, but not the work I found most satisfying.
What I kept noticing was the businesses that needed help the most — the sole traders, the family-run shops, the local tradespeople — were the ones being priced out or fobbed off with template rubbish that didn't reflect how good they actually were.
So I went out on my own. I set up The Small Business Website Maker to do one thing well: give Northwest businesses a website they're genuinely proud of, at a price that makes sense.
